TinkerHub

TinkerHub is a community-driven tech initiative focused on helping students (and young people more broadly) learn continuously, build real projects, and collaborate at scale, rather than just consuming passive content. It runs a "Campus Community" program across colleges — designed and run in collaboration with students and industry experts — with the belief that solving big problems requires people who keep learning, keep innovating, and know how to work together. A few things that define TinkerHub's approach: Foundational Skills focus: Beyond just technical know-how, TinkerHub emphasizes things like critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, cognitive flexibility, and resilience — skills they see as essential for "makers" who can drive real change. Peer-led learning: Programs are built around students learning together, not top-down lecturing. Study Jams (like the one you're launching at CCE) is a great example of this. Track record: One notable initiative, Build From Home, enabled 1,600 makers to go from an idea to a fully built, live project in just 7 days. Campus Communities: Each participating college (like Christ College of Engineering) runs its own local chapter with a defined structure — Campus Council, onboarding process, action plans, and a yearly calendar of activities — all tied back to TinkerHub's larger mission.
