Accomplish your dream Job in Electrical Engineering
Nowadays people are unaware of the job opportunities of Electrical Engineering . There are several areas where an electrical Engineer can work. For giving awareness about the job opportunities and the softwares, the students should be familiar with, EEE Dept arranged a programme “Accomplish your dream job in Electrical Engineering” for all electrical BTech students. The event was organised on Oct 16th, 4;30pm.

Webinar on Landfill Management & Sustainable Energy
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Christ College of Engineering organized a webinar on "Landfill management & Sustainable Energy" on October 3rd 2020. The webinar was inaugurated by Rev Fr. John Paliakara, Executive Director of Christ College of Engineering. The resource person of the event was Mr Mony Bernard, Project Engineer, Violia Engineering Services, Argentina. Nearly 300 participants from all over the India participated in the webinar.

webinar on Ventilator: Design Perspective
Dept. of EEE has successfully organized a webinar on “Ventilator: Design Perspective” by inviting Mr. Sarath S Nair, Scientist, from SCTIMST, Trivandrum, on 26th May 2021 at 6 PM through Google Meet online platform. More than 599 participants have attended the webinar from all over India, comprising of professors, faculty members, students at UG/PG/PhD level and engineers from industry. Mr. Sarath S Nair has shared his in-depth knowledge in ventilator design.

Webinar on Domestic Energy Analysis
Dept. of EEE in association with Energy Conservation Club has successfully organized a webinar on “Domestic Energy Analysis” on 11th June 2021 at 4 PM through Google Meet online platform. Mr. Benny K K and Dr. Ravishankar A N, from the department handled the sessions. The importance and need of domestic energy conservation are emphasized with the help of monitoring the house-hold load, energy consumption and demand profile of residential buildings.

Technical visit to Nirmal Controls, Thrissur
EEE Department has organized a technical visit to Nirmal Controls, Thrissur for the final year students, last Friday. Students could learn about the metering and instrumentation, automation and maintenance procedures in process industries. 33 Students from final year EEE batch has attended the visit. The visit was coordinated and supported by Ms. Anagha Miss and Ms. Seena Miss.

Hands-on Workshop Circuit Analysis using MATLAB and Simulink
MathWorks Community @CCE has organised a one day Hands-on Workshop on 'Circuit Analysis using MATLAB and Simulink'. Dr. Ravishankar A N, Assoc. Professor and Head, Department of EEE, handled a session that covered Network analysis using various approaches in MATLAB and Simulink, and Verification of Circuit Theorems. This workshop was given for S3 ECE students as an extension of the curricular course 'ECT 205 Network Theory'.

Industrial Visit to 400kV Substation
Our students pursuing a B-Tech Minor in Electrical and Electronics engineering went for an Industrial Visit to 400kV Substation at Madakathara, Thrissur on 09-11-23. It was a great experience visiting the first KSEB 400kV substation of Kerala. Students were introduced to all technical components and it's working. The KSEB staff helped very well in introducing various mega equipments that produces energy for the state of Kerala.

Dept. of EEE has conducted an Industrial Visit to 220kV Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation at Kunnamkulam for Final Year students. The visit was truly beneficial in learning gas insulated switchgear operation and SCADA automation. The visit was organized as part of Value Added Course on PLC and SCADA.

EEE Department in association with BETA has organised a Technical Session for S2 EEE students on Residential Energy Management. Sessions were handled by Mr.Santhosh A, Accredited Energy Auditor of BEE, Mr. Benny K K and Mr.Febin Raju in the areas of Energy Management Fundamentals, Energy Conservation Opportunities in Residential Sector and Energy Economics respectively.
