Dept. of EEE has conducted three day Value added course on Training on "PLC and SCADA" for final year students. The training was conducted by M/s. Graphene Automation Pvt. Ltd., Kochi and coordinated by Mr. Jinu K T and Ms. Anagha Philip Antony.

Engineer's day Celebration
Dept. of EEE in association with BETA has conducted three programmes as part of Engineer’s Day celebrations. 1. Engineer’s Day Talk by first year EEE students to spread the message of Engineer’s Day and it is coordinated by Mr. Febin Raju. 2. Invited Talk on Migration of Engineers to Other Countries by Er. Alex P George, CEO, Alco Fasteners, Thrissur and it is coordinated by Dr. Needhu Varghese. 3. Poster Making Competition for first year students and it is coordinated by Ms. Emilin Thomas

Academy Lecture by Industry Professionals
EEE Department in association BETA has conducted Academy Lecture by Industry Professionals programme by inviting Er. Mimitha Jhon C, Asst. Engineer, 400kV Substation, KSEB Ltd., Madakathara, Thrissur, yesterday. Er. Mimitha has delivered a lecture on Power System Protection: Issues and Challenges which was truly beneficial to EEE students and faculty members. Department recognize and appreciate the efforts taken by Dr. Needhu Varghese for coordinating the programme.

Hands-on Workshop Circuit Analysis using MATLAB and Simulink
MathWorks Community @CCE has organised a one day Hands-on Workshop on 'Circuit Analysis using MATLAB and Simulink'. Dr. Ravishankar A N, Assoc. Professor and Head, Department of EEE, handled a session that covered Network analysis using various approaches in MATLAB and Simulink, and Verification of Circuit Theorems. This workshop was given for S3 ECE students as an extension of the curricular course 'ECT 205 Network Theory'.

Industrial Visit to 400kV Substation
Our students pursuing a B-Tech Minor in Electrical and Electronics engineering went for an Industrial Visit to 400kV Substation at Madakathara, Thrissur on 09-11-23. It was a great experience visiting the first KSEB 400kV substation of Kerala. Students were introduced to all technical components and it's working. The KSEB staff helped very well in introducing various mega equipments that produces energy for the state of Kerala.

Industrial Visit to 220kV Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation at Kunnamkulam
Dept. of EEE has conducted an Industrial Visit to 220kV Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation at Kunnamkulam for Final Year students. The visit was truly beneficial in learning gas insulated switchgear operation and SCADA automation. The visit was organized as part of Value Added Course on PLC and SCADA.

Hands-on Training on Autocad
The 4 day Value Added Training on Autocad (Electrical) conducted for S3 EEE students. The sessions were handled by Ms. Keerthy and Ms. Shilpa from CADD Center, Kodungallur. The sessions were fruitful with practical aspects of electrical drawing.

Circuit Crafts
Dept. of EEE has organized Circuit Crafts, Micro Project Expo last Tuesday. S3EEE students have showcased their talents in Circuits and Measurements through 13 working projects.

Residential Energy Management
EEE Department in association with BETA has organised a Technical Session for S2 EEE students on Residential Energy Management. Sessions were handled by Mr.Santhosh A, Accredited Energy Auditor of BEE, Mr. Benny K K and Mr.Febin Raju in the areas of Energy Management Fundamentals, Energy Conservation Opportunities in Residential Sector and Energy Economics respectively. Congratulations to Benny Sir and Febin Sir for coordinating the event and delivering the sessions.

Industry Visit
S4 EEE students have visited 110kV Substation at Kattoor yesterday as part of their theory and lab courses on Transformers. They could understand the functioning of an Electrical Substation with major facilities like Transformer, Control Panel, Yard, etc.
