The food stall committee in association with Christmas day celebration visited Assisi House*_ , an old age home near our college. The visit was a heart touching one to everyone who were a part of this small initiative. All credit goes to our First year students who organised the event in a peaceful way. NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Scientia,the science club of Christ college of Engineering,Irinjalakuda has organized a hands-on-workshop for first year students on “Innovation and Product development”.The session was conducted on February 28,2022.Fr.Joy Peenikaparambil inaugurated the session and Dr.V D John,Vice principal,Christ college of Engineeringwas the resource person.The very useful hands-on session on making herbal soaps and pain relief balm was organized by Dr.Sreedevi.A and Ms.Neethu K

VIDEO MAKING COMPETITION
Department of Basic science and Humanities ,Christ college of Engineering, Irinjalakuda presented on International environment day, a ten minute video making competition on the topic Zero waste. The competition was a very useful one and discovered the endless possibilities of recycling and reusing. The programme was coordinated by Dr. V D John and Ms Famy Francis. There were 12 video entries and among that Ivan Kavungal (ECE)has won the first prize.

MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Department of Basic Science and Humanities in association with Science club has successfully organized a Mobile Photography contest on the theme " Living Nature”.There was a good inflow of entries from our students and staffs. The contest was coordinated by Ms Neethu K and Ms Chippy Jojo and the student coordinator was Abhinav M S (EEE).The judgement was under the supervision of Dr. Rahul V R, Research associate at Raman Research institute, a wildlife photographer.

WHY MATHEMATICS IN ENGINEERING ?
The science club of Department of applied science ,Christ college of Engineering Irinjalakuda organized a PPT presentation competition on the topic”Why Mathematics in Engineering?”for all the first and second year students of Christ college of Engineering.The competion was held on June 10 ,2021. The programme was coordinated by Ms.Neethu K and Prijimol V B. Alex neelenkavil won the first prize in this competition.

KEAM 2020 ONLINE ENTRANCE COACHING
Department of Basic science and humanities of Christ college of engineering conducted an online KEAM coaching program under the leadership of Assistant professors Reena CG and Neethu Balachandran. Online session started on 3rd july 2020, and there were more than 15 videos uploaded into you tube solving 300 plus questions. There were 40 candidates registered for the programme.

Chem Acta
Scientia,the science club of Christ college of Engineering,Irinjalakuda has conducted a video presentation competition “Chem Acta” for first semester students on March 15,2021. The presentation was based on the topic of chemical connections in the real world.The powerpoint presentation was a huge success with the entries of almost 60 videos. The competition was coordinated by Dr V D John and Ms Nonu Davis.

Keam 2021 Hack In One Min Videos
As a part of student- teacher initiative, the department of Basic Science and Humanities has come up with an innovative solution to curb the growing needs of entrance coaching in the midst of the pandemic. As such, we have started our day one of KEAM coaching by sharing short videos to our registered candidates. What we do here : 🎯We post one minute videos of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics which will cover all the important questions based on formulae and theory on a daily basis.

Two day workshop on CAS software “Maxima”
A computer Algebra System (CAS) software training on "Fundamentals of Maxima" organised by Basic Sciences and Humanities Department* coordinated by Vaisakh Venu, Prijimol V B was successfully completed on 23/07/2020. This workshop gives insight on how computer software is used to find solutions of many mathematical equations in just one click away. 130 students attended the training and, an evaluation based on the session was done to provide the E - Certificate.

SciHub4Tech
Department of basic science & humanities,Christ College of Engineering ,Irinjalakuda launched their first youtube channel SciHub4Tech on 26/06/2020 at 10 a.m. Youtube channel was launched by Fr.John Paliakara .CMI,Executive Director of Christ College of Engineering ,Irinjalakuda. Dr.Sajeev John( Principal CCE,IJK) ,Fr.Joy Payyapilly (Joint Director,CCE,IJK) & Dr V.D John (HOD,CCE,IJK) appreciated the effort taken by faculty members of the department.

SCIENTIA 2020 – ALL KERALA ONLINE QUIZ
Department of Basic Science and Humanities, Christ College of Engineering , Irinjalakuda organised a all kerala online quiz programme SCIENTIA -2020 as the part of 74th independence day celebration coordinated by Ms. Amrutha Davis (Assistant professor BSH) & Mr.Vaisakh Venu (Assistant professor BSH) for higher secondary students. The quiz conducted in two rounds. The preliminary round was conducted on 11th August 2020 and final round was on 15th August 2020 at 11 am.

The inauguration function for Scientia, Science club of CCE was conducted on 26th of February at 7.00pm via Google meet. The registration form for the function was given earlier to the students and Google meet link was also given to them.

Clothing Donation Campaign
In the spirit of Onam, the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities (BS&H) at Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda, organized a week-long Clothing Donation Campaign from August 22st to August 25th, 2023. The campaign aimed to collect clothing items from students and staff members and donate them to the well-known charitable organization, Pradeeksha Bhavan, located in Irinjalakuda.

VEGETATION INSIDE THE CAMPUS
The Green Campus Committee & Science Club of CCE successfully initiated a small vegetable garden in our college campus as part of the World Environment Day on June 5th. Students planted seeds of a wide variety of vegetables. Students have taken keen interest in forming the sand mixture and also monitoring its growth on a weekly basis. It is truly rewarding to share that the whole process were solely done by the first year students of Green campus Committee & Science club.

The programme was conducted on May11, 2021 at 4 P.M through google meet. Mr. Daniel T Davy, CEO, Operations and R&D Head, Xilatron technologies was the speaker. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sreedevi A. Franklin Francis (ME) and Sandra C Nair (EEE) were the student coordinators.
