Foot operated Sanitizer dispenser
Nirmal 2.0 is an initiative of Mechanical engineering association in the fight against COVID 19. It is foot operated sanitizer dispenser designed and manufactured from Mechanical engineering department, Christ College of Engineering Irinjalakuda. Around 350 number of pieces have sold across Kerala and generated revenue in the lockdown period.

Opportunities of a Mechanical Engineer in TCS
An online webinar on the opportunities of a Mechanical Engineer in TCS was conducted on 10/10/2021 under the banner of guideME (Career Guidance cell of Dept. of M.E, CCE). The program was coordinated by Mr. Reynold Jose (Asst. Professor, Dept. of M.E, CCE). Mr. Vaishakh Krishnakumar, Assistant Systems Engineer, TCS, Tidal Park, Chennai was the resource person. Around 100 participants (including staff and students) attended the program.

Phone in program
Phone in program on vehicle maintenance was conducted on 07/04/2020.An overview of the various aspects of vehicle maintenance during the lockdown period was given to CCE staff, through Google Meet and a phone in facility was provided to staff, students and general public regarding their doubts related to vehicle maintenance. ASME visited the GEC Thrissur, Nodal Centre for Robotics and AI Research Laboratory
The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ASME visited the GEC Thrissur, Nodal Centre for Robotics and AI Research Laboratory today for S6 ME students. It was a fruitful day as the students were really able to understand the working of Industrial Robots and what are the possibilities of AI in robotics. The students were able to see the demo of Collaborative Robots, Multiple Arm Robots, Automated Vehicles, Bio-mechanical systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Student Master Program
The Mechanical Engineering department of CCE in association with SAE organized a Student Master Program on Introduction to AI Generative Design and Fusion 360 for students of various streams. The training program was valuable for the students to gain practice in Modern Engineering Design. The program focussed on strengthening the technical skills of participants and proved to be a great learning experience, especially with the practical designing sessions.
